Camp Recount

  Camp Recount

It was a crisp, cold Thursday morning and we were all at a school camp just rising out of our comfortable sleeping bags we was just about to get ready when we heard some girls saying breakfast as we were getting ready to go to the high ropes course , so we rushed to the dining room to eat our food. After we ate we had around about 30 minutes to get ready so I grabbed my jacket, shoes, tied up my hair and then we cleaned up our cabin then left. We met our instructor down on the main part of grass in front of the cabins his name was ‘taco’ and he was going to teach us everything we need to known for the next 1hr 30mins. We then started walking down to the ‘hut area’ or the area were we grab our gear. We then walked into the little area and grabbed our helmets and harnesses, a bit after that we walked across the path to the high ropes course we then learnt how to work everything and what to do, we then walked over to a giant ladder called ‘the giants ladder’ were we had to climb up massive gaps and the ladder got harder and harder. After we had all finished climbing we went to the hardest one then we all only got up to the top of the ladder. Next we moved on to the finale one which I can remember what is was called but we climbed up a ladder then onto a rope you would hold the top of the next rope then shuffle across to the other end then up to the next rope then repeat 1 more time. After that one we had to drop down then unclip our harness then we walked over to the shed place to drop of our harnesses and helmet then we walked back to our cabin for free time next our next activities.
After all that I had such magnificent time doing high ropes and it was 100% my favourite activity!
